The Democratic Party needs to look carefully at moving towards the middle, where the American people are.

Most people look at ageing as a disease. They do. They have prescriptions and places where you go to eradicate it.

If you look at history, innovation doesn't come just from giving people incentives; it comes from creating environments where their ideas can connect.

Look for cars where people might not look, like shopping centres or notice boards as you can find some real gems that other people have not even thought of.

Sometimes you forget where the heck you are but when you get on stage, you know by the look on the people's faces and the accent in their voices where you might be.

Where people are now in terms of the economic crisis, they're looking at what we think is the bottom, and I think that's when people look to film and to spirituality.

Look what happened in Assam where the NRC was rolled out. Poor people with no way to find their documents were affected the most. And among them, the majority were Hindus.

People will sometimes put each other in boxes and have biases toward one another because of what they look like or where they come from or who they are. But ultimately, it's up to us to decide who we are.

If you look at the geographic variation in long-term unemployment, it's really striking. There are pockets where employers don't want to go, but for some reason, in part because of adequate safety nets, people don't want to leave.

On the one hand we have got to ask, are there some areas of universal benefits that are no longer affordable? But on the other hand let us look at the issue of dependency where we have trapped people in poverty through the extent of welfare that they have.
