Through adversity we find our better self.

There's always opportunity in the now. If I'm there, I will seize it.

I fight because it allows me to face my fears head on, and conquer those fears one by one.

It's great to see there's a push behind women's MMA because everyone who's involved in women's MMA is very passionate about it.

I know the different ways that I have lost. I think that's beneficial to me because I know how I got in those situations in the past, and I know how to avoid those situations.

To me, people are going to judge you no matter what, no matter how you put yourself out there. In my opinion, they can judge however they want to. Hopefully, it's in a positive light.

I feel like through martial arts I'm able to face my fears head on. It makes me not run away from challenges in life. I'm able to transfer my martial arts training over to other challenges. To be able to conquer your fears is the best feeling in the world.

Martial arts was something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life, and I wasn't getting what I needed from college. When I realized that I could fight for money and have it be part of my learning experience as a martial artist, it made perfect sense for me to dive into fighting.
