Fear is often our immediate response to uncertainty. There's nothing wrong with experiencing fear. They key is not to get stuck in it.

I got started on my spiritual path when I was a kid. My mom taught me how to meditate and brought me to ashrams and spiritual circles.

Each thought you have informs your energy, and your energy manifests into your experiences. Your thoughts and energy create your reality.

If your stress is related to another person, finding forgiveness - changing your thoughts and energy around that person - can lower stress.

I'm gluten-free, dairy-free, and I try to keep a low-sugar diet, although from time to time, I'll have a bite of cake - you know, I'm human.

You can't make people be or do what you want. All you can do is be unapologetic about what you want and let others show up however they can.

I believe it is my duty to share the gifts I have learned. How dare I have the tools for finding serenity and not share them with the world?

Our bodies hold so much tension and resentment and sadness, so if we don't move it out of the body, we stay stuck in those negative patterns.

Your energy has far more power than you can even imagine. There is energy in your spoken words, in your emails, and in your physical presence.

I started my entrepreneurial journey right out of college. At the age of 21, I incorporated my first business: a PR firm based in New York City.

With all of the media and all of the pressures of the times, we have to have a spiritual foundation in order to survive. It's truly what I believe.

Bring acceptance and compassionate self-talk. Say nice things to yourself - you're the only one listening. Tell yourself, I am doing the best I can.

Putting your well-being first - like putting your oxygen mask on before you help the person next to you - that really benefits all your relationships.

Even if you're just making a list of all the things you have to do, putting your pen to paper gets it out of your head. It puts you in this place of release.

Own your joy so that you can be happier and bring more energy to the world. That ripple effect works on a quantum level. It brings about changes in the world.

You can write a thousand lists and make a million vision boards, but if you don't clearly feel what you want to experience, it will never truly manifest into form.

When you choose to perceive love over fear, life begins to flow. You feel peaceful and you see love in all situations. Your hang-ups subside and your life feels guided.

The biggest thing I've learned is that it's not about me. All of the things that I do have to be about bringing service to the world and helping people shift their perception.

Your skin will get better, you're going to be more attractive, you're more likely to get a job - all the things you want, you will get as a result of being in a more calm place.

If you stay in that new flow of positive behavior, it's hard to revert back to old patterns. But if you do fall off, just forgive yourself, recover quickly, and get right back on.

If you clear that negative feeling and forgive yourself, then you can see the world from a different lens. You stop attracting that same type of experience. You can set yourself free.

You let go of the past, and stop bringing the past into the present and replaying it into the future. You release guilt, shame, and you can create an entirely new pattern for yourself.

As you look at your fears head-on, you'll begin to see how much of what you fear is just False Evidence Appearing Real. When you act on this false evidence, you create chaos in your life.

Remember that you have a choice in what you see. If you choose to see a person's darkness, you strengthen your darkness within. If you choose to see their light, you shine from the inside out.

I believe that simple, consistent shifts in our thinking and actions can lead to the miraculous in all aspects of our daily lives, including our relationships, finances, bodies, and self-image.

The practice of being on a spiritual path isn't about being the best meditator or the kindest possible person or the most enlightened. The practice is about surrendering to love as often as possible.

If you're stuck in traffic, call a friend or listen to a favorite podcast. If you're waiting in a long line, make friends with a person in line with you. There are lots of ways we can change the vibe.

We're not going to stop trying to live big. It's about transforming your stress so that it doesn't take over. The first step is to realize that it is there and that you are trying to outrun your fear.

The truth is that fear cannot coexist with love. Therefore, we must learn how to dissolve all boundaries with love by taking responsibility for our own energy. In doing so, we'll raise the energy around us.

The issue is that if you hold onto the resentment against yourself, you're just going to recreate that destructive pattern in different forms because unconsciously it's still a belief system that limits you.

Neglecting passion blocks creative flow. When you're passionate, you're energized. Likewise, when you lack passion, your energy is low and unproductive. Energy is everything when it comes to being successful.

Most people don't walk around the tools to process pain and fear, that kind of discomfort. In most cases, it's unbearable to look at it, feel it, and/or address it. It's why I'm such a fan of self-help books.

I think the root of minor problems is separation from a belief system of interconnectedness and compassion and oneness, so when we multiply that over and over again, it turns into lies and chaos and terrorism.

The people who inspire me most are those who are willing to see the world from a loving perspective. People who perceive obstacles as opportunities and problems as spiritual assignments. People who choose love.

I'm not a fanatic about my diet. I just believe the more aware you become of your spiritual being, the more you want to respect your physical being. It's a spiritual diet: You love yourself too much to eat crap!

I believe I am connecting to angels and spirit guides and ancestors. All of that is falling under the category of God and the energy presence of God, and that is what I can tap into when I tune in and slow down.

I equate physical activity with happiness not just from the perspective of producing endorphins but also from the perspective of really moving through emotions and getting stagnant energy to move through our body.

The first thing is to be willing. You must become willing to feel the discomfort that's occurred and/or shown up. Some of it is taking ownership of your part in the situation, to clean it up and be willing to make amends.

You have to be ready to receive help, whether that be through a book, a therapist or counselor, or a doctor of some kind. That willingness can lead you through a door to the other side, and that's where healing can truly begin.

Each time we make this shift and choose happiness, we experience a miracle. Our mind shifts from fearful delusions and reconnects to our truth, which is love. Creating these shifts requires a dedicated commitment to choosing love.

I begin each day with prayer and meditation. Throughout the day, I use affirmations and positive intentions to move through blocks, and each evening, I close the day with self-reflection and an inventory of my growth throughout the day.

I think maintenance comes from a daily spiritual growth practice of some kind: prayer, meditation, affirmations. Something that keeps you in the consciousness of higher thoughts and energy. That's also how you make sure you don't do it again.

If you're feeling stressed or anxious and you don't know why, ask yourself: What little thing led me here? Recently, I canceled on a friend because I was tired. I went to bed feeling stressed out, and I realized, I feel bad because I canceled.

We are always manifesting. Each thought we have creates an energy flow within and around our physical being. This energy attracts its likeness. So if you're thinking, 'I suck,' then your energy kinda, well, sucks - and you attract sucky experiences.

There's a fine line between helping others and being a people pleaser, and mistaking one for the other can be hugely detrimental. When we put others' needs before our own, we deplete our energy, which can lead to depression, physical illness, and overwhelm.

On a piece of paper, write down the thing that is stressing you, the obstacle that is in your way. Then put it in a box and just leave it there. At the end of about a week, dispose of it - throw it in the trash or bury it - some sort of ritualistic act of releasing it.

We associate stress with action, but how can you take action without stress? You take the right actions with a different energy. Yes, that might affect the speed at which you work or how much you get done in one day, but you'll probably get things done more efficiently.

We're not really brought up in a culture where we believe we're meant to be happy, that peace is our birthright. It's not what we're taught; quite the opposite, actually. With all the expectations and the negative stories going on in the world, we have a lot to overcome.

Restful sleep is a key ingredient to living a miraculous life. I'm not saying we need eight or ten hours a night to feel fully rested. In fact, sometimes less sleep can be more restorative than many hours. The key is to have real sleep... the drooling-on-the-pillow kind of sleep.

I believe in any kind of personal growth practice that can help you gather the tools that you can then apply to resentment, anger, pain, and rage in order to heal your past resentments toward yourself and others, and then deal with them in the moment so you don't carry them for a decade or more.
