It's something that I have to learn to do: affect the game in a different way. If I don't get it on the offensive end, try to get it on the defensive end.

I try to take whatever the defense gives me, have a sense of urgency, know who's guarding me and pick my spots, get my teammates involved and also attack the rim.

I don't think I can be perfect, but I think I can be close to perfect if I continue to prepare and continue to do everything in my power to be the best version of myself.

On my youth teams, I always pretty good. I guess I just really started to play with some of my peers around age 8 or 9. We always battled and had fun playing in the rec leagues.

I have the same routine every day just to make me a better basketball player, and I'm going to continue the routine just to see where it gets me and how I can reach my potential.

People around me, they can give me talks, they can tell me what to do, but if I don't have the right mentality, then nothing good is going to happen for me because I'm not going to be confident.

The Duke family, those are my brothers, and it's something I'll always take with me. Coach K, he gives me a lot of motivational things and checks in on me and my family. He knows where my heart is.

I was shooting over my head. With my long arms, it was like a slingshot. Coming from college to the NBA, I was only about 180 pounds, so I was trying to push the ball to the rim from the 3-point line.

My great aunt raised me for about four or five years. Something I took from her was a quote: 'Fear of suffering is far worse than suffering itself.' I actually have that tattooed on the back of my arm.

It could be the best defender or the worst defender. I have to have the attitude that I don't think anyone is going to deter me from getting to the basket. Maybe help defense can come over and affect it, but not the first guy.

I always to try block everything out, good or bad. I always hope to keep receiving blessings, to have faith, because you know, there's a time to block everything out and just work on your craft, work on everything that you desire to get, desire to want.

Individually, yeah, I want to be the best version of me. But I want to make everyone else feel comfortable on the floor where they can go out there and they are just playing their game. That's when I'm the happiest, when every guy on the floor is just being that.

You're always becoming; you've never arrived. And I use that day by day just for me to work hard each and every day, and know that no matter how good I worked out today, no matter how good I thought I was today, I can always get better and always be a better person.

I think when you have the point guard guarding someone full court and just chasing the guy all around, always in the right spot, it just makes you want to get down in a stance and be his backup and have his help whenever he needs it. Or having the same energy that he has.

Of course my goal at Duke was to win the national championship, but we were shorthanded, and lost one of our big guys that was very important to the team. By the end of the season we only played about six guys. But we tried our hardest and did our best and overall had a successful season.

I feel like I gotta get out of myself sometimes. I think I'm in my own world sometimes. I don't like to let other people come into my own world. Especially with my teammates, my coaches, I should be doing that. The important people that need to know how I'm feeling. I can do a better job of telling them exactly how I feel.
